Liebster Award #4

Part 2 of my Liebster Award nominations! I was nominated twice; by Libby and Steph from Rose and Ringlets, and Sammeh from Odds and Sodz! If you missed my nomination by Libby and Steph, you can check it out here

The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, dearest. Blogging is about building a community and it's a great way to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.

THE RULES:
  • Each nominee must link back to the person that nominated them.
  • Each nominee must first list 11 random facts about their self.
  • Answer the 10 questions which are given to you by the nominator.
  • Nominate 10 other bloggers you like and who have less than 200 followers.
  • Create 10 questions for your nominees to answer.
  • Let them know that they have been nominated by going to their blog and notifying them.

I'm going to be really bad and repost the same eleven facts as I did for the last one, with a few tweaks, as I can't think of anymore!

Eleven random facts about me

1. I'm an aspiring actress, and I've done various projects in short film, feature film, TV, adverts and on the stage.

2. I'm obsessed with CSI, NCIS, Law and Order and The Mentalist. This is partly my mum's fault, as she loves it too!

3. I used to be allergic to peanuts, but I was luckily enough to grow out of the allergy when I was 5.

4. I have a lot of clothes. And I mean a lot. My clothes are currently filling 8 drawers and 2 bulging wardrobes with several hangers on the doors.

5. I'm a book worm. I'm currently working my way through Lord of the Rings: The Return Of The King.

6. I love travelling. When I go on holiday, I try and discover little gems that not many people know about.

7. I love the colour blue.

8. I have freak moments of OCD-like behaviour, and I get really into it! Stand in the way of me putting my enormous collection of books into alphabetical author order, or colour-coding my nail varnishes and there will be consequences.

9. I used to have hair down to my knees. When I was younger I hated having it cut, and as I never got split ends, we just let it grow!

10. I'm a musical nerd and proud! I'm routing for a musical radio station to be created!

11. I wear glasses! I usually hate having my photo taken with them on, but occasionally they appear ;)

Sammeh's questions:

1. What is your favourite beauty tip?
Cleanse, tone and moisturising! It really helped my skin when I was young, so now my skin is quite good.

2. What is your favourite piece of clothing you own?
Oh gosh I can't name just one! Well, my leather jacket is forever with me, and I have a red and white spotted 50's style dress that I just adore!

3. Who do you look up to and why?
Taylor Swift and Helen Mirren. Both are such strong women who stand up for what they believe in. Taylor saved me through long days of heartache, and Helen is who I aspire to be when I'm older.

4. Who is your favourite Disney character and why?
I always wished I could be Ariel or Wendy, but my favourite has got to be Alice in Wonderland! I loved the books as well as the film, and wanted to fall down a rabbit hole so that I could go to Wonderland too! And yes, I did try! Didn't find one big enough ;)

5. You have £1000/$1000 to spend... what do you buy?
Hmmm, a classic black Chanel bag because I've wanted one since forever, and a Oscar de la Renta dress! May not fit my £1000 budget but it can be put towards it ;)

6. What's your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
Blog obviously ;) I love a good read too.

7. Tell us your favourite memory
Wow, there are a few...Maybe when I met my second cousins for the first time! They are just adorable!

8. Pick three words that best describe your personality.
Bubbly, crazy and friendly.

9. What is your guilty pleasure
Olives, for sure!

10. Share your most embarrassing moment.
I actually can't think of one! Sorry!

I nominate:
Niamh- Niamh Etc
Chloe- omgchl0e
Dajana- D'smithereens

My eleven questions:

1. Dream job?

2. If you could be an animal, what would you be?

3. What's the best holiday you've ever been on?

4. What is your favourite music genre?

5. Favourite colour?

 6. Fashion faux pas?

7. How would you describe your own style?

8. New season fashion and/or beauty must-have?

9. If you could pick six famous people to hang out with for the day, who would they be?

10. Who's your fashion idol?

Go follow these guys, they are seriously amazing!

Liebster Award #3

I was honoured to be nominated not once, but TWICE for this wonderful award by Libby and Steph from Rose and Ringlets, and Sammeh from Odds and Sodz! Thank you guys so much, and dear readers, be sure to go and check them out! They are lovely ladies :)

So I'm going to do Libby and Steph's nomination first; I sat for a while try to figure out whether I could condense these two nominations into one post, but I decided not to as it would be too confusing! So, here's part 1!

The rules are:
  1. Link the blogger(s) that nominated you
  2. Answer the 11 questions your nominator has asked you
  3. Keep the chain going by nominating 10 of your favourite bloggers who have less than 200 followers, and make you sure let them know
  4. Create 11 questions for your nominees to answer.
Libby and Steph's questions:

1. Favourite film?
An American in Paris. I love old films, especially the Gene Kelly/Fred Astaire age! I first watched this when I was a child, and being from a family who love to perform, I fell for the incredible dance routines!

2. Staple beauty items?
Mascara and eye liner. Oh, and powder, as I sometimes get a bit shiny.

3. If you could only use one beauty brand what would it be?
I would say Rimmel London, as every single product that I've got from them I've loved!

4. A/W or S/S Fashion? Why?
Oooooh that's a good one. However much I am a summer baby, I do love A/W fashion, as you can have so much fun with layering etc.

5. Favourite books?
The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. That book changed my life. Also, Ways To Live Forever has been a favourite since I was at school. I recommend you check out both!

6. Make up and fashion item you are wanting at the moment?
I'm a sucker for a Christmas jumper, I recently bought one at a charity shop which will be featuring in my next video, but I adore this one! It'll look great with a leather skirt and cocktail flats or with a sleeveless coat to show off that great pattern! Make-up wise, I've been hunting out a nice dark lippy for a bit of a vampy look this season, and this one seems to be appealing to me! However, I haven't used any Topshop beauty products before, so if any of you have had good experiences with Topshop make-up and think I should go for it, then let me know!

ASOS Christmas Jumper in Reindeer Fairisle

Topshop Lips in Wicked

7. Favourite clothes shop?
I've recently been really loving Sheinside, as they do incredible fashion pieces for affordable prices! I recently bought a geometric Batman sweater from them, and I really like it! I'll be doing a post on it soon :)

8. Dream job? Why?
PERFORMING OF COURSE!!! However much I think about doing other things, my mind always gets drawn back to the feeling you get when you stand on stage or behind a camera on a film set, its a rush of excitement, adrenaline and nerves all mixed into one! It's like a safe high ;) you also get to tell someone's story for them, you become them and get their voice heard. Pretending to be people is a lot of fun, especially when you share similar feelings and characteristics to them and can therefore relate to them.

9. Favourite season? Why?
Summer! I'm a June baby, so a summer lover through and through! I'm altogether happier when the sun's shining and it's warm, I get real bad SAD syndrome when its starts to get colder :(

10. Favourite bloggers?
Wow, where to start! There are some incredible people out there, but my favourites at the moment are:

11. Favourite winter food and drink.
Hot chocolate for drink, and chocolate for food...just chocolate in general!

I nominate:
Aimee- just Aimee
Anita Dana & Ko
Sara- Vino and Vincent
Marta- BePretty
Emma- The Brunette Beuaty Blogger
Belle Splash
Tephany- Moonshine Beauty

My eleven questions:

1. Dream job?

2. If you could be an animal, what would you be?

3. What's the best holiday you've ever been on?

4. What is your favourite music genre?

5. Favourite colour?

 6. Fashion faux pas?

7. How would you describe your own style?

8. New season fashion and/or beauty must-have?

9. If you could pick six famous people to hang out with for the day, who would they be?

10. Who's your fashion idol?

November wishlist!

November wishlist!

It’s got to that time of the month again…let’s have a look at what I’m lusting over this month! I am going little easy this month, as I want to do a big Christmas wishlist for next month.

It's getting to that time of year when I just want to curl up in big sweaters all the time. And this one is perfect for doing just that! I’m also a sucker for Aztec prints, especially this one!

I’m in desperate need of a big black bag. And this one fits the bill! It’ll go with everything, that’s the beauty of black!

I love all the graphic sweatshirts out there at the moment. This one fits my love for monochrome and leather, and it’s in the pre-sale at a bargain price at the moment!

Well, you can’t really miss the tartan trend, can you?! These are a great nod to the trend, and you can wear them with things like cut out boots and brogues.

This is a fab matte lipstick with Vitamin E in it to stop your lips drying out, a common problem I find in some lipsticks.

Another product by Sleek, I have been in love with their palettes since I got one for my birthday quite a few years ago. At the moment, I have i Divine in The Original 594, which is quite a sparkly set, so I’m intrigued to try their matte eyeshadows to see if they’re just as good.

I’m starting to run out of my Collection 2000 concealer, and so I am on the hunt for a new one. This one caught my eye, but I’m deliberating between this one and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, which the likes of Fleur De Force and other blogger greats have been raving about. It’s a tough one! I think this one is winning on the fact of the price, but we’ll have to see.

I’m obsessing over lip crayons at the moment, they are my new beauty discovery! I’ve already got one of these lip crayons in Fuchsia Libre, and it’ll be featuring in my new video (which is up tonight!), but I just want them all! I don’t really have that many peachy lip colours in my collection, so this one would be brilliant to fill that gap!

What are you guys loving this month? Do you love any of these items?

A day out in London

On Thursday, I was given the opportunity by Lauren at Naked Fashions to go and preview the Massimo Dutti S/S14 collection! You may have heard me talking about it on my Twitter and Facebook. I had an amazing time, and you can read my write up about it here.

I got a lovely goodie bag, which contained, to my delight, a stunning leather pouch!! It is a thing of beauty, and I especially love the emerald green tassels (the must have colour this autumn, I got told)! I’ll be using this as a clutch bag, but also as something to keep my odds and ends in when I take out a bigger bag.

Afterwards, I decided to have a little stroll around the Regent’s Street/Oxford Street area, as I love that part of London. You can just get completely lost wondering around while everyone else around you hurries about their business. And of course, you've got to love the shopping!

What’s your favourite place in London? Do you have a go-to clutch bag that never fails you?

The Liebster Award #2

I'm literally so honoured to be nominated for this again! I love discovering new bloggers, and this is a great way of doing it! I was nominated by Vanessa at Secretly Blogging, so thank you so much!!!! Go check her out! If you're wondering what the devil The Liebster Award is, have a peak below:

The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. The meaning: Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, dearest. Blogging is about building a community and it's a great way to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.

RULES:
1. Post the award on your blog.
2. Thank the blogger who presented this award and link back to their blog.
3. Write 11 random facts about yourself.
4. Nominate 11 bloggers who you feel deserve this award and who have less than 200 followers.
5. Answer 11 questions posted by the presenter and ask your nominees 11 questions.

I'm going to be really bad and repost the same eleven facts as I did for the last one, with a few tweaks, as I can't think of anymore!

10. I'm a musical nerd and proud! I'm routing for a musical radio station to be created!

11. I wear glasses! I usually hate having my photo taken with them on, but occasionally they appear ;)

Eleven questions from Vanessa (they're really good ones!)

1. What is your favourite animal?
Hmm this is a hard one. I've always had a few favourites (a really weird mix); dogs, dolphins, horses and guinea-pigs.

2. Do you prefer tea or coffee?
I can't choose, they are both my daily fuel!

3. What is your favourite book/book series?
The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. That book changed my life.

4. What are some weird things you used to do as a child?
Ask 'why' to everything my parents used to say. And annoy the hell out of them!

5. Which make up product can you not go without?
Mascara! I feel naked without it!

6. Which is more important to you, eyebrows or lips?
Oooh tricky one. I like to keep my eyebrows in check, but sometime when I feel really lazy I leave them a bit. So I'll say lips.

7. If you could only have one, would you have liquid or powder foundation?
Liquid! I've never really tried powder foundation.

8. What is your favourite Disney movie?
Lady and The Tramp! Best love story ever, not all the 'princes' need to be from rich backgrounds.

9. Do you prefer your hair curly or straight?
Curly. I'm so jealous of some of my friends who have naturally curly hair, even though they hate it! But I like mine as it sometimes goes slightly curly and wavy on its own accord.

10. Are you a night-time or a day-time person?
Night-time. The world is so beautiful at night.

11. Do you like Asian food?
YES!!! I live on the stuff!

My eleven questions:

1. You're unleashed into your favourite shopping centre with unlimited money: what's the first shop you hit?

2. If you could be an animal, what would you be?

3. What's the best holiday you've ever been on?

4. What is your favourite music genre?

5. Favourite colour?

 6. Eye liner or mascara?

7. Favourite film/film series?

8. What do you love about fashion/beauty?

9. If you could pick six famous people to hang out with for the day, who would they be?

10. Who's your fashion idol?

11. What's your most prized possession?

My nominations:
Victoriya- FashionWithStyle
Candida- Merch Maven
Candy- Candy Says
Lauren- Lauren Evie
Natasha- Fashionalities
Naomi- Lost + Found

Go follow these guys, they are seriously amazing!

OOTD: Learn To Love Again

So it's November. The time of year when you run back to the warm embrace of cosy jumpers and hot chocolate. But however much I like to protect my self in crazy leggings and leather trousers, I do like to get my legs out now and again, however cold it is! And I've did that with this outfit (well, kinda. Still not feeling that brave yet to go completely bare-legged)!

Lately, I've been adoring the wool and leather combo that I've seen in a lot of street style posts, so I thought I'd do my own spin on it! I chose a jumper and leather skirt combination, as I love how a wool jumper can dress down leather so easily! I actually wore this to a workshop, so it was a great mix of smart/casual, with the heel of the boots lifting the outfit.

Coat- Vintage
*Jumper- Vintage* (similar)
Leather Skirt- Miss Selfridge (similar)
Boots- New Look
Necklace- Vintage
*Ring- Present*

This is actually quite a muted outfit for me, I'm usually one for a splash of colour. But actually, I think I've been converted! The simple lines and gold accessories are actually enough to make the outfit glam without going overboard! And it's also a perfect combo for this autumn/winter!

Are you guys fans of the simplistic look?
